22 -27.02.2013
Different Countries, but Similar People
W ramach wizyty zwiedzaliśmy miejsca historyczne we Włoszech. Byliśmy w Rzymie, Watykanie oraz w Pompejach i w Pesto.
Oto kilka zdjęć z wizyty:

My Comenius Trip to Italy
When I learned that I would go to Italy, I was not too happy. But after a while I realized that I was very lucky, because anyone who hosted the foreigners could be drawn. On 22nd of February we had to leave at 2.30 in the morning. When we arrived, at the airport we waited for a short briefing, we went to the other side, we got on the plane and left at 6.00. At about 8.00 we were in Rome. We were able to make a cup of tea only, and immediately after that we went visiting Rome. We were in the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the famous fountains and buildings. We saw the Colosseum, travelled by the subway, photographed the ruins and the river and ate Italian pizzas. In the evening, at the Trevi fountain, we met people from Spain and Hungary, from our Comenius project. When we finished our 9-hour walk, we went back to the hotel ;). The next day at 6:30 am we were already in the Vatican. For two hours we stayed there in the Basilica of St. Peter, we admired both the size and the beautiful interior. Then we went to the village of Ariano Irpino, where the family hosted us. I lived with a girl whose name was Asia. I took the atlas of Poland and Czestochowa, and her dad said that he knew the stories of Jasna Góra. Later we went to a pizzeria. In the morning we had a typical Italian breakfast and went to Pompeii. On the way in the coach, we made friends with two Spaniards and a few Italians. When we got to the place we started exploring. First we saw the amphitheater, and later the Grand Theatre, Forum, Basilica, roads, statues, and the cast of people who were flooded by the lava from the volcano at Mount Vesuvius. In the evening we went to the house of the boy who hosted Kacper. We had dinner with him and then we went back to my Italian friend's lodgings. The next day we went to the museum, and then to the people who taught us how to make Italian pasta and pizza. The rest of the day we spent with their families. The next morning we went for a last walk in Ariano. At noon we had to say goodbye to all Italian friends. I was very sad and sorry that I was leaving, and it was a very interesting tour. We met a lot of people there, with whom we became friends. We saw the monuments that previously we had seen on the Internet or in the books. On the way back we stopped at the cemetery of Polish soldiers at Monte Cassino, where tere was an inscription "A Passerby, tell Poland that we fell in the service of the faithful." I will especially remember the visit to the tomb of Pope John Paul II, a Pole and the stay in Pompeii. This trip was for me a real lesson of history which I had the chance to see with my own eyes. I will never forget the experience and the knowledge of the Spanish and Italian people that I obtained and I will try to continue. I’m very happy that I could take part in Comenius Project in our school. I would like to go there again!

My visit to Italy within Comenius Project.
Our school hosted students from other countries, then our students were invited to them. I was one of the lucky ones who had a chance to go there. Me and my friend Dominika were at the first visit. When my headmaster told us, what we were going to see I was really happy on 22nd of February-Friday- was the day of departure to Italy, I was very excited. When we landed at the airport I knew it would be fun. After we took our luggage the guide was waiting for us. She took us to the Pilgrim House Sursum Corda. There we spent one night. After unpacking the luggage we started to visit Rome . It was the first time I travelled by subway. When we left the subway station we saw Coloseum. It is a very old and a very beautiful building. In fact there were its residues. We walked the trail of the greatest monuments. After a long way we come to the fountain of four rivers. It was surrounded by statues. It was an unusual, breathtaking sight. Some of people threw coins for good luck. Then we went to the Pantheon. Its interior is round and very interesting. Another place was the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. When we got there I was really amazed. Stairs were very high. The Trevi Fountain is always lit in the evenings. There, we were going to meet with the Spaniards at about 6 p.m .Before that The teachers asked us to take a photo. When we wanted to do it, somebody bothered us (hiding behind the lens). It was Spanish people with whom me were going to meet. After the conversation we went to the subway station. When we left the station we had to walk a bit on foot. In the end we came to the hotel. We had time to get dressed and go out for dinner. Dinner was very delicious.
In the morning we woke up very early because we had to visit St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. When we got there we saw something beautiful and interesting. These things look very much different when you see then on live. The place is enormous and surrounded by a large and thick columns. I was in a place where the pope stood in the window and spoke to the crowd. It was an amazing sight. Basilica front side looked really beautiful . There were many paintings in shiny frames. On both sides there were plenty of priests who were praying. It was in a place where the view will always be in my head. Everything was so gold. Then we went to the Basilica, to visit the tombs of the Popes. I am very happy that I could be there and see it for myself. I was not allowed to take pictures, but it was all in my mind. After Mass, we all left and went to the subway, where we get to our hotel. We had to pack up quickly, because the bus came to get us to Ariano Irpino. I spent the rest of the time. As soon as I was getting to the bus I saw my friends David and Pedro. We didn't talk a lot because we thought we couldn't understand each other. After about twenty minutes, we started to try to talk and it turned out that we're doing it quite well. During our trip we had beautiful views. The atmosphere during the travelling was so nice that we wanted to go further.
We got to the place where our teachers stayed in a hotel. There I met a boy, with whom I spent the last three days of my stay in Italy. His name is Stefano and he was ten years. When we left the teachers, we went to Stefano's house. The road to the house was very steep and winding. He lived in a place surrounded by the mountains. The atmosphere in the house was very nice and friendly. The family had eight cats and two dogs. I was exhausted so I went to bed.
The next day we went to Pompeii. It was raining, but the weather did not discourage us. Before the entrance to Pompeii, there were four, large dogs. It is a beautiful city, amphitheater and arena. I saw vineyards and statues of people. There were even restaurants, kitchens and toilets-very cosy and clean. Pompeii is a really beautiful city. We saw the volcano, but from a distance. The next day we went to Stefan`s colleague: Francesco. Then we went to the lab. They showed us a number of slides. Soon after, that we went to the village, where there was the restaurant where we made pasta. We had to wait until everybody did it. After we got a table and food. I was very hungry and it tasted great. Last event took place at home of Stefano. There were all of these students who also took students from other
countries. We all had a great time. After a busy day I was terribly tired and I went to sleep immediately because early in the morning we went back to Poland. My most family drove me to the hotel, where the bus was waiting. I was sad, but maybe one day we'll meet them again.
The time spent in Italy was very successful. Everyone was so nice and I will never forget this trip. I can recommend to everyone that there are many beautiful places which I have seen, because it is worth it. I'm happy that I could take part in Comenius exchange visit.
